Oh I say Electronics title says Tv's • Dvd's •Amps so I thought it was there I was suppose to post. Well disney what do you think, should I get an amp to give the speakers more power or do you think my receiver should be able to give them enough JUICE.Samsung-55 LED

The receiver should be able to drive A5 & A7 ok with no major problems, but I think you understand an amp would bring out the best in them. Was there something you felt it was missing?
FYI there's Digital amps yes, but most are not digital but Analog. Which isn't bad since we only hear analog sounds.

I assume that you are referring to Class D and not actually "digital". The "D" is simply the next letter designation (ie Class A, Class A/B, Class C, etc.). I had found a real nice write-up on Class-D amplifiers that was put out by Rotel Global Press. The Class D amp actually works on Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). While PWM can be purely digital it is also an analog technique. These amps sound like cutting edge technology and the best thing since the transistor with their > 90% efficiency and they can be very good. They show up in many portable devices as well as high end audio. They can sound really good if they are carefully designed but can also sound like crap if the design is skimpy.
Back to your question...
Denon receivers are no slackers and are able to drive 4 ohm speakers without trouble. The 3808 has an spec output of 130W into each channel at 8 ohms. This should do fine. I am drooling!Stan

Before I got my Sunfire TGA5400 I was driving 4 LSi15, and an LSiC with the Sony DA7100ES digital amp. Worked great. Before I got the Sony I was using a Denon 3805. Worked great. Before I got the Denon I was using a Sony DA5000ES digital amp. Worked great.
Now I have all this extra equipment sitting in the garage waiting to be used in an emergency.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

It's more on what you wish too spend and if used is ok. www.Audiogon.com is a good place for used or this forum as members here offer sweet deals at times. If new to this give it some time, the audio bug will bit you I'm sure you will spend some $$ in time.
BTW very good points from Skrol, amps are built in classes of design. The D class is newer more efficient but can be a bit noisier. I believe why filter out the noise, if not done that way in the beginning. I like AB / B class amps just my $.02 here.

If you are just going to run a 5.1 system, I would Bi-Amp the RTia5/7's from the 3808 and call it a day.

Some people love Class "D" amplification and others do not. Personally I am an old school Class "A" guy.
