Hey all!

After 41 hrs of travelling with about ZERO sleep (I've since got a nap in), I've finally made it to the desert. I'm starting to get settled in, I should have the combat 2ch rig in operation by tommorow so things are starting to take shape.

Hopefully soon I can get some pics of my new home for the next 135 days or so......

Just wanted to say hello to everyone!!!

Oh, BTW, George, there is a good bottle of rum in the cabinet next to the fridge behind the box of trashbags....enjoy! ;)

    Be careful. Good luck.
I watched lots of white buses leaving Ft Sill & heading to the Altus, Okla Air Force base about 12 yrs ago, & most, if not all, came back. May it be the same this time.

Troy, Watch your back, come home safe and sound. God Bless you and all of our servicemen and women.

    Wangotango68,
You are a piece of work! No matter what you may think of Troy, the very least you could do is keep your sorry-assed comments to yourself. If it were not for members of the armed services you would not have the freedom that you enjoy. You are a poor excuse for an American! I hope that if, God Forbid, there is another terrorist attack in our homeland, that you are the only victum. You deserve nothing less!!

    Troy you scumbag,

The only reason you told me the location of that rum, is cause my sorry **** isn't far behind yours. Regarding OUR destination, the only thing we've heard is:

    1. It's on a peninsula.

    2. It's tent city.

    3. No need to bring summerwear.

During the Afghan bombing, we we're 80 miles inland from you.

Stay safe, and my DSN # is 650-2197. If I don't pick up the phone, it's cause I'm drinking your rum.

    George

I got your e-mail also. You cheap friggin' screw, send me a postcard!

    BDT:

A heartfelt thanks for serving your country. Kick **** and don't bother taking names - you won't be able to spell them anyway. Be good and stay safe.

The US Armed Forces is THE cornerstone of freedom in this country. Without it, the concept of freedom is just that - a concept. These guys keep it real for us.

So the next time you see a vet, PERSONALLY thank him for protecting YOUR way of life - the American way of life. We do it better than anybody else - and I'm goddamn proud of our military and to be an American.

I think a trip to The Wall and Arlington should be on everybody's "must do before I die" list. You can't look those names and those crosses without crying if you have but an ounce of Patriotism in your blood.

USA - love it or leave it.

Hey, no need to feel like you have to apologize for the Navy. They are there to. Alot of good friends on a couple of cruisers and destroyers that I can't mention (gag order about locations of ships and such, Navy guys will understand) are there now. I left them just before they were tooling up for deployment back in July.

But Navy, Army, Marine or Air Force, we are all on the same side and none of them would be doing the best job if it weren't for the others.

I certainly hope they all come home soon 'cause fighting is the last thing I want to see but sometimes there is no other choice left. When the fighting starts though, there is no other side I'd rather be on. So good luck to you Troy and anyone else who is serving, or will be deployed and thanks to everyone, past, present and future for sacrificing so much for us.

Hey! I have a bigger stake in this too! Not only are friends of mine out there but a few of my destroyers are out there too! They be mah babies! Here's to the Tin Cans bringing home all thier sailors in one piece!

Been there done that, about 5 times already.

My dad made sure me and my sister and brother saw that as soon as we were old enough to understand. Too many names I recognize on those stones and on that wall, friends and family alike from all branches, covering the range of ranks.

    Be safe Troy!

If it comes down to slamming the Iraqies, just crank up Judas Priest "Heads are Gonna Roll" on the 2-chan rig and let 'em have it!!! I think that should be your guys theme song!

My instructor in networking school is a former Marine drill instructor. He fought in Somalia and I think a few other places. Anyway, one day in class he went off on a speech discussing how people in this country are screaming for the goverment to protect them from terrorists. The goverment then says, ok, we'll do that. We'll start monitoring telephone, email and network traffic to catch these guys.

What happens...people start bitching about invasion of privacy and all that BS!!!

Sorry, freedom comes at a cost folks!
