I just bought the CSi-A4 center channel speaker and two Monitor 60's. They are to arrive late next week. In looking through some old threads on this forum I saw a couple of references to speaker "Break in" Can someone clue this rookie in to what exactly that means and how do I go about doing it? Is there a right and a wrong way? Thanks!

Hook things up and let them run. Things will begin to sound better as time goes by. Tighter bass, more detail... Most say after 200 hrs the sound really improves.

Thanks, that seems simple enough. Just a matter of time before they reach their peak I guess. I thought maybe there was a special technique like not above a certain volume level for the first few hours, but I guess as long as I don't blast them (which I won't ever do) I should be fine. Thanks again

Your welcome and welcome to the forum. Yes I would avoid the blasting for now. There are special CD's that send certain tones that some say expedites the burn-in process, but I think most of us just let it run. You would see improvements in speakers, cables, amps, receivers....
    Have fun.
