Polk DSW 500 or klipsch Sub 10
Hi
I bought a pair of Polk Rti A5 3 months ago. These speakers really sound great.i have just a Onkyo HTR 340 receiver (304) but it powers the speakers very well, will upgrade the receiver at later point of time.
Now i am looking for a Sub, i listened to Polk DSW series 500 and 600, but both could only deliver audible bass (not room shakin, may be the settings were wrong). I am confused . On the other hand i auditioned klipsch Sub 10 and sub 12, these were just pressurizing a 350 sqft room easily.
Please can you help me compare DSW 500 and klipsch Sub 10 ! Also DSW owners can you please review your thoughts on these subs as i had a bad demo on them.
I dont have a sub pre out in the receiver, so can i use the passive sub speaker wire from the receiver to the speaker level inputs of the active sub keeping the receiver crossover to 80 HZ and subs crossover to top level?
Thanks!
Krish

I had the DSW 600 a couple months back. While it sounds good it doesn't produce that room shacking bass alot of people desire. I haven't had the KLIPSCH 10 in house but I've heard them at the stores side by side.
Personally I liked the Klipsch sub better but I wanted to have all POLKS in my system so I went with the DSW 600. If you plan on buying new I would look into other subs as well.
