Just bought a Panasonic DMP-BD30K

I love it. The best part is I payed $89 for it :) It was a open box at best buy that was missing the Remote and the cables. It also had some horrible scratches all over the face almost like it was keyed. I didnt buy it right away but went home and searched it and found out how many great reviews it had, not to mention a remote was only $42. The next day (yesterday) I went back and grabbed it. It came with manufactuer warranty and for 9.99 i got best buys extended warranty.
looking at the scratches when i got to work, I figured that I would at least attempt to remove them. I grabed some 400 and 1500 grit wet sand paper and sanded all the scrtaches minus 1 that ended up only being a 1/4 inch long. Buffed it out with my buffer and polished it out. Now you could never tell looks better than new since its all buffed out.
I am not trying to brag but I have been so happy this last week
I got a pair of RTI A5's for $450 w/warranty
I got a PSW10 for $100 and a set of T-15 for $50 at BB during black friday
I purchased a Yahmaha AVR for $215 used
and now the Blu ray
I dont think i did too bad for just under 1k :D

    I'm really happy with BD30K as well---course I didn't get the deal you scored. Enjoy, and download the latest firmware from Panasonic. I think it's up to version 1.8?

    how do i go about doing that I dont have the manual so its kind of a mystery for me

    you can find latest firmware on the panny website. I too have a BD30 recommended to me from member Grimster when he bought his. Awesome little unit to say the least, and to top it off you scored in a major way. Enjoy it.
