I don't know, UCLA always plays them tight. What frustrate me about the Bruins is they're actually loaded with talent(2nd strongest recruiting in the PAC10) on offense and defense. They somehow get embarrassed by BY and lose all year to the rest of the PAC-10, but at the end of the year all that talent finally wakes up and they play USC tight.

great start, Bruins. It will be a tight game, but, the ending is predictable.

Those Bruins cheering squad, just wow!

Personally, I'm not too upset that USC's offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach & assistant coach, Steve Sarkisian, is leaving for UW. Though USC recruits some of the best talent in the country every year, their offense just hasn't dominated as it once did. I don't think they're using their horses as best they could.

So, while they'll need a new offensive coordinator +, maybe they can get someone who can put all that talent to better use. Wish we could get Norm Chow back...

Too many reasons. Since the last two years, JDB sucked. He was accurate but too immobile and held on to the ball too long and was very indecisive. Right now Sanchez is a bit inaccurate and had several bad throws in the past few game. His accuracy is questionable but it'll probably get better next year. Steve Sarkisian play calling is too conservative with both JDB and now Sanchez. I've noticed that since he took over, they don't throw the ball down the middle as they did with Norm Chow. USC also does very little slant patterns.
Their wide receivers despite all their talents are not great route runners. Damian Williams is the only good one. You can see that every time Patrick Turner is done with his route, he just stops.

Their offense needs to get way better next year because they'll be losing 8 starters to the draft on defense. Fila Moala, Maualuga, and Taylor Mays will probably be taken in the first round. Kyle Moore, Brian Cushing, Maiva, and Kevin Ellison will probably also all be gone by day one. Cary Harris is also a Senior and he'll get drafted also.

Wow. You really follow the Trojans! Did you go to USC? I did & it's nice to read the stuff of someone who knows the team well.

I noticed the same thing that you did - that they don't throw the ball down the middle as much any more. & I agree that next year will probably be better for the offense but not as good for the D. Their defense is amazing!

    Fight on, boys!

nah I didn't go there. I just happen to live in the LA area. I think right now the Big 12 is the Big Shame. The entire conference lacks defense from top to bottom and they just air it out with the spread offense and the voters just go wet over it. Chances are, Oklahoma will lose it's 5th straight BCS game and this one will be by blowout also.

amazing and darn right scary. Everyone of those players on defense will get drafted (most by day one) and play in the NFL. Sadly, now that the whole world knows how good Taylor Mays is, I doubt he'll stay for his senior season. He's going to be a very high pick. I don't think I've ever seen a team do that.

That is one sorry-**** Trojan team. Carroll knows how to recruit but he doesn't get half the talent out of that team come game time unless they're facing an Ohio St or something. They could have beat UCLA by 3 TD's with one hand tied behind their backs. Penn St will kick their asses big-time if they show up like that again.
