Best day ever??

Ok so as some of you may know my son's mom died in August and he now resides full time with me. What you may not know is that we have no legal tie to each other whatsoever. On the books I was never his father. I am NOT his biological father but I hooked up with his mom when she was early in her pregnancy but we never lived together. I have supported him financially all along and he has called me dad since birth but he was never legally my son. Mom dies and now I have to start legal custoday proceedings and expected this to take a long long time. However, today a judge heard the whole story and awarded immediate and unrestricted full custody and guardianship of the boy to me!!! I was stunned but totally overjoyed. Christmas came early this year. And then..... my son John brings home the best report card I've seen from him in years with glowing comments from the teachers about how well John is doing in all aspects of school and that the trauma he experienced in the summer is showing not at all.
And then.... I get home and a bunch of records I ordered are at the door so great new music to listen to. And then.... my new Yamaha AVR with Dolby HD and DTS Master shows up with the FedEx man. And then....Another parcel arrives from a good friend who lives several hundred miles away. It says it's a Christmas present but please open now. John opens it and it's full of awesome Christmas baking.... But wait there's more. Today is payday and my boss includes a real nice fat Christmas bonus in with my pay so I have money for shopping durring the holidays!!!! And then... a fellow I buy LP's off of here in Canada (sorry George the kids don't have an exclusive but I buy off you when I can) tell's me he has found the number one LP on my wish list and he will sell it to me for $5.00. Oh wait I almost forgot my new blue replacement lamps for my Carver TFM-25 came in the regular mail and I'm all stoked in put them in and check out the modded Carver.
I don't know if I can take any more good news. Someone pinch me. This has been an amazingly good day and it's not even 7:00pm pacific. Wow and thankyou God.

Kelvin, I really tip my hat to you Sir. I am glad that both you and John are happy and will continue to do so in the years to come. Remember Kelvin, some day that boy will want to know and see all that is attached to him. Protect him like you currently do and when he wants to explore, be with him. Your level of maturity and integrity is second to none. May you and John have a wonderful Christmas and an even better 2009.Michael
In the beginning, all knowledge was new!

WOW! Congrats, and I hope it all leads to a very Merry Christmas for you and yours. Sounds like the Happy New Year is in the bag!"Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason."

Great. I hope you have many more you certainly desrve it for stepping up to the plate concerning John.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
Thats great news man. Im so happy to hear the good news.
