These sound good and go for around $75. Look on Ebay it's a couple pair on there.

I would recommend searching craigslist for some old monitors, but be forewarned you may get the vintage Polk bug, and next it will be SDA's...
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

That sounds good I have been holding off for a while and waiting for some polks but they just arn't popping up hardly ever if ever. I thought I remembered someone saying some good things about those EPIs once but couldn't remember. I only want to really spend like $80 including shipping on stuff. I have the little on sansui receiver and it sounds great I am just looking for some speakers with some great high and mid ranges bass isn't quite as put my alley.

    Best Bang For The Money???

I never really paid money for it directly. Buuuut, diner and a BJ goes to Jill, a top heavy hottie with great calfs too, a Norwegian Wood, I'd call it.

As for the speaker, give it up and just buy some Polks.

You can buy a pair of CSW Model Sixes for $99 and free shipping direct from Cambridge SoundWorks right now. Appartently, they're also offering a new customer 10% discount. These are simple, well-designed, and good-sounding speakers; one of the last loudspeaker designs by the late Henry Kloss (AR, KLH, Advent, CSW, Tivoli Audio).

The CSW Sixes are also quite improveable to great sounding bookshelves for the $ by a crossover redesign documented in an article in audioXpress magazine some years ago if and when you're so inclined.
