Isn't there someone here that works for them? I have a question about their new data plan requirements and nationwide plan.
I know just enough to be dangerous, but don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm a genius. :D

I believe that one of our rather astute moderators works for them. Dorokusai.

Yeah, good luck getting Mark to answer a question about a plan. That's a good way to get kicked square in the nuts.

The reason I asked is because apparently it carries over to other non-Blackberry phones as well like the new Lg enV2. The person I talked to was having a hard time really figuring out which ones it applied to besides the blackberry phones, because there isn't anything on the website that kind of breaks it all down or lets you know that you will have to get the additional data plan.

She did at least tell me that the reason for doing it was that they had so many complaints of people buying blackberry's and those types of phones and not the data plans, and then using the mobile web and email features and starting racking up huge bills and complaining about it. Doro, feel free to correct me if I am wrong, that is just what the rep told me yesterday.

edit: BTW - I am not bagging on VZW, I love it and the service, I am just trying to be an educated consumer before buying my next phone and updating my plan.

any PDA style phone will require a data plan on it but from my understanding these don't require an additional plan http://search.vzw.com/?b=lg&f=QWERTY+Keyboard&i=1&market=30668+All+NY&st=&state=y&summary=1&u1=f

but recommend getting the v-cast package to fully utilize all the features on the phone
