I got on optoma hd70 projector and i need to get a 50 foot component cable. I have looked online(google) and i am unsure what cable to get. The projector is only 720p so i do not need an HDMI(also i only have an component ouput on my onkyo 805) If anyone can point me to the right web site. I am looking to spend no more than 70.00 dollars but if there is a cable for a little more i am interested, or if someone has a 50 foot for sale i will be interested. thanx in advance. will this work http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000V1WUEM?smid=ALR1KZGDJ6168&tag=nextag-ce-tier4-delta-20&linkCode=asn

Since it is a fairly long run for componet I would get a good cable from Bluejeanscable.com. It will cost you but if it runs anywhere near electricial outlets you do not want it picking up video noise.

You could try a cheap cable and see how it looks.

Jayson, you may be lucky with the monoprice cable, I agree buying cheap for digital cables but analog will pick up noise.

I had a 16' run and tried several different cables, even monprice but could not get rid of video noise and after going to the Belden cable I has no issues with video noise.

Just make sure Monoprice will take it back if you have noise.

I have multiple Monoprice cables and all of them are high quality. That cable would have been my choice if I was in your position.

I set up my Boss' system with a 50' component cable from Monoprice, no trouble at all. I'm currently using their 25' and 15' HDMI cables, and no issue's there either.

No I do not use "that" cable, but I do use HDMI cables from Monoprice and they are great, a little stiff, but nothing that was a problem.

You can also use 3 RG6 coax cables and out F to Rca adapters on if you are looking for something cheap.

....The projector is only 720p so i do not need an HDMI(also i only have an component ouput on my onkyo 805) ...

The 805 does have more than just component out. It has HDMI out too.
. Does the projector have HDMI in?

. Does the projector have HDMI in?

yes the 805 has component and HDMI but the hdmi is being used for my plasma. So since i have everything hooked up to the 805 i have the hdmi going to the tv and the component cable going to the projector. I just hope the 805 can send two signals at the same time(hdmi and component). i am mounting the screen above my tv so if i can switch between video sources. And yes the projector has an hdmi but the 805 only has one hdmi output leaving me with the component.
