I was wondering what people typically use for their speaker connections?

1. Bare Wire
2. Plugs
3. Pins
4. Spades
5. Other?

I have heard different opinions about which is better, but I wanted to hear good reasons for/against any of the options.

Bare wire.....why would you want to add more resistance than necessary unless you move or exchange speakers frequently...

    To all you naked people.

I've never seen any documented proof that banana plugs add resistance. Using good gold-plated banana plugs should not affect the sound in any perceivable way. Banana plugs offer a greater contact area than bare wire alone which should be a good thing and they help prevent shorts that naked wire can cause. The main resistance issue is speaker wire gauge. If you use good 12 or 14 gauge speaker wire instead of the more common 16 or 18 gauge wire than you have solved the main resistance issue.

I used banana plugs with 12 gauge wire and soldered all my connections.
