SDAs for mains will be excellent but for rears will be a waste, there was an earlier post on wanting to do this but most all recommeded against it as it is a waste.
Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
Preamp: Joule Electra LA-150 MKII SE
Amp: Wright WPA 50-50 EAT KT88s
    Analog: Marantz TT-15S1 MBS Glider SL| Wright WPP100C Amperex BB 6er5 and 7316 & WPM-100 SUT
    Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs

use the 1's for the ht right and left, get some monitor 7 or 10 for your surrounds, and go with a pair of 5's for the center, just watch how close you stick them to your TV, I know crt's don't like magnets, as far as the other I could not tell you.

    Use the 2's in a 2ch setup

    I don't know, It's just a suggestion

    Later,

I don't believe the SDA's are shielded. I too thought about a setup like the one you are thinking about. Most said it would be a waste to put SDA speakers in the rear. I have to keep reminding myself these speakers were before Home Theater and are not made for it. You can use them as mains as long as they are away from your TV. If you use them in that way you can put your receiver in stereo mode and also enjoy them for music. Good luck.

SDAs are not shielded, but you could shield them if you REALLY wanted to. And SDAs do make great front 5.1 or 2 channel HT speakers because of their 3D imaging and sound stage.
