Picked one up at BB for $180. A pretty good price, but I can't help but wonder if the Samsung 1500 or the Sony BDP 350 are better. I think BB will price match if I choose to return the Panny and pick up another unit...provided I can still find one of the others @ $199. What do you think, stick with the Panny or go another route?

I have the Panasonic BD10 and really like it. That's one reason I went with the BD30.

I want to know as well. I just picked up the Sony 350 for $179 and the picture quality is great. I was also looking at the samsung since all my LCD's are samsung. I've heard bad things about the older samsung blu rays

I dunno, but i just bought the sony 350 also. I am thinking about taking it back because I need it to decode everything because my bedroom receiver only has 1080p pass through. The panny does decode everything. I dunno which is better though. Does sony have an update for the 350 to decode dts master anytime soon?

I don't believe the BD 30 does any decoding (I haven't even taken it out of the box yet). I thought the Sony did, but if that's not the case, the two units must be pretty comparable.

The panny 35 does everything not the 30, I didnt specify that. THe sony only decodes dolbytruehd onboard, it can bitstream both dolbytrue hd and dtsmaster. I was hoping there was an update for it.
