believe me I was looking at your TV tonight, it's that extra 1000.00+ that is holding me back :D, I see the difference, just don't know if it is worth it to me.

k i was wrong then.. if u can see the difference than there must be more to it than whats on their site. but yeah the extra 1000 bucks on a tv that costs 1500 isnt really worth it to me.

Everyone in the world agrees - Get the best you can afford... and whatever u will be happy with.

When u are comparing 2 TVs in equal lighting. Yep

but if u read the whole thing u learned that the black will only be as black as the room can be when it is at its darkest. Furniture, wall color and complete environment matter.
In a controlled area.... where the walls are black, no windows, no other light sources is the only time u will prob notice the difference between sony's top of the line, and what we are looking at.

the blacks in the picture are one thing to keep an eye on.. but also the clarity of the overall picture. glare from the screen, as well as any pixelation from scene to scene. Detail in the edges of what's on screen. Do any words/letters on screen look sharp and crisp?

overall today's LCD's at so much better made than they were just two short years ago..

I keep going back to the overall picture quality of the Sony sets.. but some of the Samsungs, and Toshiba's are very, very close in picture quality. If you find a Samsung that's in your budget and you like it... you should get it. We all have our faves.

I would stay away from a plasma.... they break down a lot more and cost way more to repair... also, if u ever move to a higher elevation... they wont work. they will actually blow up inside.

    Don`t get a Plasma....

looks like the ones I`m looking at are the ones to stick with...

Sony`s website said the BR player that I just got was made to mate with the Bravia set you showed me....well maybe not made for it, but it was a perfect match !!

Huh? Do you have any solid evidence to back that up?

    http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/plasmatv/plasmatv-altitude.html

heres another quote from another website...
High altitudes can affect the performance of plasma displays because the gas held inside each pixel is stressed, and has to work harder to perform. Some manufacturers make plasmas that are specifically designed for high-altitudes, but they may be priced higher than standard models.

Thanks for the link, very interesting. However, it doesn't say that they will blow up.
