PS Audio Quintet

what about something like this:

Monster makes a decent conditioner, but nothing compared to the PS Audio stuff. You could try to get a used Monster 3600 MKII. It's a pretty good conditioner and usually a steal for the money. That being said, if you need about 10 outlets and have $350, then the PS Audio Quintet is about the best you can do for the money. The Build Quality of the PS gear is awesome.

so you have said the PS stuff is good.. why is it good? and what makes it better than monster dont take me the wrong way but i do see you are very reputable on here. i just want to know why it is good other than you saying so?
also wouldnt 10 outlets be overkill i mean usually you need
1-tv
2-rec
3-amp
4-ps3
5-sub 1
6-sub 2 (if they require to be plugged in im not sure)
let me know.
thank you. -

Well,
First, I've owned several Monster Power Centers and I've owned the PS Audio Premier, Quintet and Duet.
Second, the PS Audio Duet sounded better than the Monster Power Center with Level 4 filtering that I used to own. The Quintet sounds the same as the duet with more outlets and features. The Premier is amazing and blows everything else out of the water in that price range.
Now, I challenge you to go pickup (literally lift) and exm a Monster powerstrip and a PS audio Duet or Quintet. You will immediately notice the build quality of the PS Audio gear is heavier and uses better parts.
Finally, I can tell you the PS Audio stuff sounds better, but so can tons of other people. Do some research on the net and develop a concensus . . . or as Lamar used to say on Reading Rainbow (listen for yourself) "You don't have to take my word for it."

thanks mike.
like i said i wasnt trying to knock you or anything just was trying to get a understanding.
so basically if i went out and bought both and tried them each out individually i could hear the difference? -

Well I can't gurantee you'll hear the difference. There's a lot of factors to consider. To name a couple . . . First, your ears may not be that sensitive or trained to discern fine differences. Second, depends how dirty your power is to begin with. My power is awful because I live in an apartment. I have a Premier and a Quintet and PS Wall Solos in the walls just to clean everything up. So, most anyone would hear an improvement at my place.
The Premier would most likely give you a massive improvement, but hey it costs 2K so you better hear a difference.
If you go with the Quinter from PS Audio, you'd be getting a better made product that doesn't inhibit current at all and has all the connections you needed. To me, the Quintet sounds pretty damn good for the $350 I paid for it. -
