1.2TL PR repair and..............

I had a small rattle in my left 1.2 PR. I decided to take out both and check them over. I first noticed the basket rang like a wild man. I had some dynamat like stuff I cut in strips and attached to the basket w/Gorilla glue. My first time using Gorilla glue. Not overly impressed but I do like how it goes from clear to white as it dries. Way less ring now, the resonant frequency and amplitude really dropped.
I also planned to put these two 12" deflex pads behind the PR on the back wall of the cabinet. Gorilla glue and the tackiness of the deflex was not enough to hold them up. After about a minute they would start to fall. I used three little brads along the top of each half of the deflex to hold them in place. I cut the 12" circles in half and put one above and one below the cabinet brace.
My pictures are crappy but they do enough to help tell the story. I want everything to dry well before any listening test. I doubt there will be any easily audible improvement but who knows. As long as the rattle in the left one is gone.

Well, Good Luck!, Let us know if it fixed your problems
I listened before "The Shield". I didn't go high volume, but put most of 100WPC into them. I can't go super loud anyway as my big amp is in the shop. But it was nice I put on two tracks that always made it rattle and it was clean as a whistle and rattle free. When I get my big amp back from CJ and go back to bi-amp I will crank them up good and really test them out.
