Sub-Woofer Placement - See picture

Okay, it took me about an hour to make this picture, so I hope it helps.
This is my setup and I am wanting to know if the sub-woofer placement is a good placement?
I want to keep it near the TV since I am running the wiring through the sub* and then up through the wall to the attic.
*I used the POLK recommended sub-wiring with my original RM-6600 series with much satisfaction. Can I assume it will work just as well, if not better, with this setup?

I too have my sub off to the left of my left front channel only because I have a 60" DLP on an entertainment center/stand and can't put it where it "belongs" which is directly in front of you under the TV. I have attached a link to the THX speaker setup schematic that details where each speaker "should be". However, the most important thing to remember is what sounds best to you, move it around, face it towards the wall etc, until you are most pleased with the performance. If you only have one, I think the general consensus here would be to stick it in the corner pretty much where you have it, or in the opposite corner, but like I said experiment and see where it sounds best to you.

What do you mean "Polk recom. sub-wiring"? Did it come with your older sub? If so, it probably is not good enough. Try signal cable or blue jeans cable. As for placement, you need to experiment with different positions and go from there.58" Samsung Plasma (on wall)(calibrated)

Now see, that is very interesting indeed.
My Credenza is such that I can add each section. I used to have all four, which gave me the sub under the TV (just off-center to the right) and the center speaker under the TV (just off-center to the left). With my new room being smaller, my wife wants me to use only three sections. This gives me a section centered under the TV which is where I am planning to put my new CS1 (I bought the CS2, but it is 2.5" too wide ) - Thus my sub dilemma.
If I am unhappy with the sub off to the side, I may go back to the four sections.

The POLK recommended wiring for your sub is detailed here.
Okay, I went and looked for the article and was unable to find it anymore...
I wire my speakers in-line with my sub rather than using the LFE channel. Honestly, in the past it gave me much better control over my system crossover etc. - I think I will email POLK and ask what they recommend since I am using larger front speakers now (6.5" drivers vs. my old 3.5" drivers).
