Greetings!
Looking for some tubes to roll in my Fisher and Scott integrated amps. Both manuafacturers recommend the 7189 vs the EL84 because of the higher plate voltages. But what do I know? Let me know if you have a "matched" quad available. PM me with the details. Thank you!

The Sovtek EL84M (Russian OEM 6П14ПEВ or 6P14P-EV) has sufficient cojones for circuits requiring a 7189 (e.g., even the notorious Realistic Stereodyne 40/Stereo 40A amps, which will take out standard EL84s in minutes). They sound good, too.
Were I you (which, of course, I am not), I'd buy a matched quad from Jim McShane or other reputable dealer. -
Thanks for the suggestion Mark. I have a pair of the Russians in my Scott 222B and they are very good. I will contact Jim and see what else he may have around.Carl

I've used a couple of quads of them in amps I spruced up for other folks; I am quite pleased with the sound. Miles beyond the current-production "EL84" tubes (at least those sold as such under the Sovtek brand). Can't beat 'em for the $ (and I am cheap)!

Mark, have you tried any of the TAD EL84M's? These are supposed to be nice also.Carl

No. I would guess they're the same Russian tubes(?).
