    Sure it's real. Real crappy.

I've actually done this before. The brightness of a 13" CRT is just way too dim to be usable.

That might work with a decent backlight and some tweaking. However, using a 13" TV for a projector just won't cut it...

No high intensity light equals crap.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

But you have to have a light source behind the LCD, right?

Judging from the feedback, seems like most people like it. I actually found the howto guide 3-4 years ago on the internet and recall it requires you to flip the TV upside down. Basically, you're building your own projector by using a TV as the source of the image being projected.

Given the current price of low end projectors, why bother.
    Receiver - Onkyo HT-R340
    Front - Pioneer S-HF21
    Center -Onkyo SKC-340C
Surround Back - Polk R15 <--Ticket to club polk
    Subwoofer - Onkyo SKW-340
