I have just updated my 5.1 system to a 7.1. I am looking at purchasing the OWM3 speakers as my surround speakers. I currently have an Onkyo 606 receiver and my speakers are Boston Acoustics with a Polk PSW 10 sub. Has anyone purchased these speakers and if so what is you opinion of them.

Hi mimi, I recently replaced my Polk RM101 surrounds with the OWM's and it is a world of difference! I have an Onkyo 705 with Polk Monitor 70 mains CS2 Center with 2 Velodynes(the VRP1000and VRP1200) and the OWM's hold their on in movie modes. The Sony S350 BDP really brought all these speakers to life...I would MORE than recommend the OWM's and they look sweet also!

    TV: Samsung LN40A550
    Mains: Polk Monitor 70's
    Center: Polk CS2
    Surrounds: Polk OWM3's
    Receiver: Onkyo TX sr705
    BDP: Sony S350
    Subs: Velodyne VRP1200 and VRP1000

I recently purchased two pairs of these for my 7.1 set up as surrounds. I'm a little confused on the frequency response to these. It says the overall frequency response is 80Hz-25kHz, but the -3dB limit is 100Hz-20kHz. Can I set the receiver to crossover at 80Hz?

It would be better to use 100 Hz, that's the 3 dB roll off point. "Overall" means "useable" frequency response. At 100 Hz the response starts to drop off, you'll still be able to hear the 80 Hz response but it's much quieter.
