Teenage romance with vampires. Like watching Charmed, 90210, and Angel in slow motion without commercial interruption. Painful. I squirmed and tapped my foot until my wife placed a hand on my knee. If you are over 30 and you take your wife or daughter to see this, you're a saint.

Would probably make a good mother/daughter flick. Guys, avoid. Run away.

I took my daughters to this on Friday night! I think I earned major Dad points by putting up with the screaming over-excited teenage crowd and getting them to the opening night. My kids have been reading all her books, so they were more than pumped up for the movie. Overall, really not that bad of a movie. The PQ and cinematography were really good, and the soundtrack was also well done. Typical girl meets vampire, falls in love, wants her blood sucked, teenage romance stuff, as posted above. Think Harry Potter goes to see the vampire clan.

I really dig Vampire flicks, but from the trailers I've seen, have had no interest in seeing this one.

I can't recall the last film that got so overly promoted it was sickening. This looks to be a terrible film.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

It's a movie for 'tweens, they tend to overadvertise those babies. Not surprising.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I love anything with a vampire in it and thought this one was going to be pretty good.

Then my sister and my wife told me they were dying to see it - but I thought maybe it would still be a cool flick and just one that chicks like too.

Then while in line at the grocery store last night a teeniebopper maybe 15 years old with her school jacket on was in line talking to one of the other teeniebopper chicks working behind the register and was just raving about like how like this movie was like the greatest like thing shed ever like seen and like how the guys in the like movie were like so hot and like it was like such a great movie....like.

Needless to say - Ill skip seeing it and probably even the rental. Ill look into it once it hits cable.

My 24 year old daughter went to see it...just because. She's a huge skeptic about most any movie...and said it was OK...better than she expected...but then again...she wasn't expecting much.

My GF and her friend are into the books. Mind... they are 21 now. Went and saw the movie, proclaimed it the best movie ever. I could care less :p

Thankfully, they didn't drag me along.
