Some of you know that I've been looking for a subwoofer that's both affordable and able to compliment my system. Mantis, or Dan as I've come to know him, offered to help me out. Living close to a Tweeter with a NEW Depth i subwoofer on clearance, Dan purchased it on my behalf and managed to negotiate a sale below the clearance price! Beyond this, he's mailing the subwoofer to me and helping me set it up when it arrives.

Mantis is truly a great guy and a brother in audio. It's hard for me to explain in words and perhaps I'm coming across too emotional, but it's extremely humbling to be on the receiving end of completely selfless good will.

For me, the opportunity to meet other genuine individuals insane as me about this hobby has always been what this forum is about.

Thanks Dan. And, thanks to Polk Audio and the Polk community.

Mike

    Congrats!
Yes Mantis is a good Polkie, and an audio pro.
I hope his search for a new job lands him somewhere that
    appreciates his hard work.

On hell of a guy. When I went to spend the weekend with him on a audio hunt he showed me the light when it comes to HT and audio buy taking me to different stores one room will always be etched in my mind as a referance standard and he knew it would be from the second things were turned on. I can't thank him enough we had a real good time that weekend and have become good friends since.
Enjoy the sub it is really a nice piece, I heard them sometime ago and have always been impressed.

Amen. Mike(SS) is top notch himself;)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
