Oh yes! Into the first few seconds of the album, there is a dog barking. If you have set your speakers correctly, they will come from behind you to the side.

Amazing effect with just 2 speakers!

You have SDA's? I have been experimenting with my speakers, and I listened to that disc 3 times this morning. The phone ringing got me every time. I know my house, but I had to check that nobody snuck in, and installed a 7.1 in my house. When the Ferrari zipped across the room it just left me shaking my head!

Is there more than one version? I just picked up Soul Cages(3.99 used), and it is not as pronounced as Roger Waters ATD. It could just be the SDA's?

It is a matter of how much the engineer wanted to use Q sound, Roger used it to it's fullest, some recordings use it with a lighter hand.

The Roger Waters ATD is a freaking great CD.

Roger used Qsound to a lesser degree on K.A.O.S., still there, just less of it.

    good reading

You don't need SDA's to hear the Q Sound effects. I wish more CD's used this type of mastering.

I know. It just adds to it. The funny thing is at my last place it seemed to not play well with SDA's:confused:
