I ran accross the Blueman Group DVD "Audio" (I guess that's what its called) at a garage sale this weekend and figured for $1 I couldn't go wrong. I've never heard them and the DTS 5.1 mix was supposed to be pretty cool.

Well, I can't complain for the $1 I spent but I don't see this disc getting much play time in my HT. Are there any particular tracks that you all have listened too that are worth checking out for any reason? Definately a good disc for sub slam. I got tired of the PVC **** after 1 1/2 songs though. Any thoughts?

I have the audio cd, not the dvd, so I don't know about the 5.1. Not sure I would play it in the HT either, but some of the tracks on the disc are pretty cool in 2ch on SDAs.

Sorry, no suggestions as far as getting over the pvc issue...that's most of what you'll get out of Blue Man Group.

I bought one of their cd's and sold it a few months later because I didn't listen to it much. Their music felt emotionless and didn't grab me.

The Blue Man Group is one of the DVDs Matt Polk Used to show off the home theater in his home. It was certainly impressive on his system.

I have that Blue Man Group DVD on my xmas list (the one from PF). I think the visuals with the music are much better than just the audio. We will see if I get bored right away with it or it has some staying power.

The one I found is just DVD Audio. There isn't any video to it. Maybe my problem is half their show is visual?

I have a DVD and CD of blue man group.

The DVD is the rockstar experience or whatever. This one has alot of singing unlike audio. It is a GREAT DVD - and a CD version would be ok. But the DVD is GREAT.

The CD I have can get boring to listen to, but the recording quality is great and dynamics are off the chain.

The Complex Rock Tour is the DVD video I was referring to. They used that as a demo on the SRT's at PF. It's on my Xmas list. Good stuff; both audio and video.

I sort of assumed the DVD-A 5.1 mix that Aaron was talking about might have been just the audio from the concert. After doing some research it's different.

"baba o riley" Visual is a masterpiece. My wife, daughter, and friend won a big company halloween contest portraying them. That song was looped on a cdr, playing on that portable player..:) I can listen to the pvc sound also..without a headache
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Yeah. "How to be a Rock Star" is certainly about audio and visual coupled. The Blue Man Group are an enduring 80's thing. They are fun to watch.
