i searched for a few hours and found a few helpul pointers but i still am not sure.
i have purchased 2 pairs of polk db6501 components and an amp that is 800w 4 channel and at 4ohms it claims it will do 75wrms.. my question. is 14awg speaker wire good enough to run from the amp to the speakers in my car? and is an 8awg power cable with a 60 amp fuse sufficient? the amp has 2 25 amp fuses in it. i have never upgraded the speakers in my doors before, letalone have an amp power them i just want to make sure im not going to melt anything.
thanks in advance for any help of suggestions!

or just run a separate power line for just the sub.
At least this is what I did. It allowed me to add a 1 farad cap for only the Sub amp.
u can do that with running 1 wire to a distribution block....2013 Toyota Prius
