Snowin' in the city

Philly in the winter is awesome! (Even though it's not really winter yet and still autumn)
Just got back from lunch, went down to the Rittenhouse Square area just to stand around in the snow for a bit. On the way back up Chestnut St, stopp3ed at Primo Hoagies and got a Pork Diablo (roasted pork with provolone, peppered cheese, a blend of proprietary spices and long hots) and sat down outside of City Hall and watched the people go by freezin' my **** off eatin' my sammich and drinkin' my Coke. If you come to Philly and you want to find out what a REAL hoagie is, not those "subs" and "grinders" and "heroes" that everyone says are "the same", head over to Primo's for your education. You can thank me later. Better yet, if you go, just get me a Pal Joey and all will be forgiven.
Macy's which now occupies the old Wannamaker Building was setting up the Christmas display which opens after Thanksgiving and I can't wait until next week so I can go see it. I haven't seen it since I was in college.
Gonna talk the lady across the bridge on the Patco line and meet her down at 15th and Locust and we're gonna walk over to the Chris Jazz Club tonight for dinner and listen to these guys: de Caumette, Lawton, Beskrone, Scarano, Ashman, Riley and Swan ( http://www.decamusic.com/ ) I heard they were "interesting" with influences from Herbie Hancock to Count Basie and everything in between.
Lunch time after Thanksgiving will get alot more interesting cause all the high priced "trophy wives" will be coming to the Rittenhouse Square area to shop at all the designer stores and made up pretty. The scenery gets real nice around then!
Yeah, awesomesauce. Life is grand!

Ah, the Pork Diablo is a mighty fine piece. For once, Philly weather isn't depressing me.
