I'm slowly putting together a HT system... I don't have a dedicated HT room. All this is in a big room (Family/ dinning/ kitchen). My one issue is thath the couch is against the rear wall, so I can't place the sorrounds behind me...
So far I have:
Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH
Polk RTi10 (fronts)
Polk CSiA6 (center)
M&K *** 12" sub (forgot the details)
I just got the CSiA6, I like the carity of it, what do you guys think so far??
What surrounds would you recomend?
Thanks in advance...

I'm not too sure how well they would match up, but for surounds it's not as important as your fronts and center. I think I would give a listen to the OWM3's. Haven't heard much about them but they look like they would offer some easy mounting options to deal with your couch location. Are you planning 5.1 or 7.1?

I disagree. Since I matched all of my HT speakers to the same generation of RTi's the sound field is seamless for HT. I think that timbre matching is important all the way around for the best effect. Try the best you can to mount something from that generation RTi's. Pictures would help advice on placement...HT

Surrounds work best slightly back and slightly higher than ear level (the tweeter part at very least). If you can only get them on the sides you will still get a great effect. Just make sure they are slightly above ear level. The auto setup on that amp works very well. I am using my older RTi70's for surrounds and they sound great but are huge overkill. Way more speaker than necessary. RTiA3's would work great with your center and fronts. Enjoy and welcome to club polk.SDA-1C (full mods)

I do have them above ear level, They are about 6-8" above ear level, and a bit behind the ear area, not totally on the side of the couch.
I did use the "MCACC" and it sounds good..
My only complaint is the sub, specially when listening to music, but it might be my fault... I haven't calibrated anything yet, I dont even have an SPL meter:o
and I must admit that I have no idea on how to do it...HT:

There is a set of RTi6 in the classifieds will these match my system well?
or should I wait for the RTiA3?
Thanks again!HT:

Here are the pics, you'll see that it's an open layout the kitchen, "dinnig" area and Living room are all together...
Was I supposed to plan for the "listening area" or for the whole room???
My HT (only) system:
.... I know.... I'm looking for a rack for the equipment.
The "main" viewing seat & rears (old Bose 141).. And the wife hidding
the system and the empty dining room area behing
The kitchen viewed from the living room
The living room viewed from the back of the (empty) dining room area...
Thanks again for all the comments!HT:
