Another set of RTA 12s

I just bought my 3rd set of RTA 12s much to my wife's dismay. I bought a systerm about a year ago that included a set of RTA 12Bs ( with Hafler DH-500 amp and DH-110 preamp) for $450 and fell in love with the sound. This is my first system with separates. I did blow a midrange in each speaker getting carried away but thanks to this forum I got replacements from Polk for $48 each.
About 3 months ago I won a set of RTA 12Cs locally on ebay for $107 and am using them as mains in my home entertainment center driven by a Sony STR-G3 receiver. Even with the lower power from the Sony, these speakers really rock, maybe better than the 12Bs.
One week ago I saw another set of RTA 12s (not sure if B or C) listed locally on ebay that no one was bidding on, so I put in a bid and got them for $100. I plan on giving these to my 90 year old father who loves the sound of the speakers as much as I do.

Congrats. I love my 12b's and will never part with them. Nothing wrong with having 3 sets of them

Three RTA12s is just what the doctor ordered! I want you to use them for HT; two as fronts, two as rears, and two as centers.

The 12C are Polk's best RTA speaker, you got a deal. You might want to consider the replacement tweeter if yours are the stock sl1000.
congrats and that is a cool thing to give to your grandfather.
