I figured we could start a thread about flicks that only we saw, but got little, if any, attention.
My pick is 'Yellowbeard'. This movie is in my top 3 funniest flicks of all time.
The other two are 'Blazing Saddles' & 'Slapshot'
For those that have never heard of this flick, I'll give you a hint as to how funny it was; The cast was:

John Cleese
Graham Chapman
Eric Idle
James Mason
Marty Feldman
Peter Cook
Peter Boyle
Cheech & Chong
Madeline Kahn

Alas, it's pretty difficult to find.:(

Effin' good call on Cannibal the Musical. I would also add Wild Zero.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I remember liking "Home for the Holidays" a few years ago and don't think anyone else really saw or liked that movie.

Lock, Stock, and 2 Smokin barrels is a good one as well, if you haven't seen it and enjoy Guy Ritchie flicks.

Interesting pick. Need to be into that "Asian Extreme" genre but a pretty good film for what it is. Similar pick would be "Old Boy".

Just watched an interesting film called the "Following". First film of the diretor of "Memento".

Another all time favorite is "Diva". Very cool french flick.

I'll have to check out Old Boy and Following; sound up my alley.

If you like the Asian Extreme (violence...) "Ichi the Killer" is another good one.

Another random one would be "Daddy and Them". Billy Bob Thornton in a slow moving, southern setting. For some reason I loved it. Great dialogue.

Lastly, "Death at a Funeral" was facking hilarious to me, but I don't know anyone at work whose seen it so I don't guess it was that big in the US.

For a real twist on the zombie genre try "Fido". Filmed right here in Vernon British Columbia Canada too. Zombie political satire comedy. Only a few years old.

A great but strange oldie starring a very young David Niven is "Stairway To Heaven". I first watched it while I was baked (many years ago) and it totally tripped me out. Remade years later as "Heaven Can Wait" with Warren Beatty but the original is way better.

I thoroughly enjoy LS2S every time I watch it. What I've noticed with people I've tried to "Turn On" to Ritchie's movies is they just don't GET British humor or can't get past the accent...even Guy makes fun of some of the "Cockney" accents by putting in English subtitles in an English film. I really liked "Snatch" as well. Great cast of characters in both.

Don't know "Stairway to Heaven" but the original to Heaven can Wait is actually "Here Comes Mr. Jordan" which is an excellent movie about a boxer (Robert Montgomery) who comes back as a wealthy socialite. Claude Raims plays the angel.

Googled Stairway... and looks like its a british version of the same theme. Excellent reviews as well. Good, another on my "to watch" list.

"The Professional" w/ Jean Reno, (which is on Directv T101 tonight, yes!) is one of, if not the best, assassin type movies. JMO, but better than "The Specialist" w/ Sly Stallone, of ANY of the Bourne flicks. And just slightly better than "Hitman"

The professional is a great assassin flick, much better than Hitman. Also starring a young Natalie Portman.
