HDMI Splitter?

I want to run another HDMI from my Satellite directly to my display so I can bypass the HT set up for normal viewing (news etc). My Satellite box only has one HDMI out though. Is there a splitter for that? If so, does it degrade the signal in any way?

haven't used that one myself, but have seen one in use and it seems to work pretty well, i didn't notice any quality loss

A splitter will not degrade the quality at all. The problem is actually whether or not it will cause HDCP handshake issues. This one is supposed to work well:

Darla, could you do what you wish to do with a component video cables and an optical input or analog audio to TV directly, leaving the HDMI to the AVR to TV HDMI?

Thanks guys. I picked up the one from Monoprice. One more thing to plug in but I would rather that than run the Integra 9.9 and the Parasound for the weather!:eek:
