YAY!!!!!! im not 100% broke anymore!!!!!!! but seriously, thank god

Anyways so, i finally have the money to get some build materials to finish my install... only a year and a half, i know thats nothing compared to cody :)

so ive had plenty of time to think about how i want to set up my install and i came to the conclusion that i want to put my amps in my spare tire well (i dont use the spare). So pretty much i am left with a few questions and looking for some suggestions.

Is heat going to be a problem?
Has anyone here done this before? either on ur setup or someone elses?

i saw this interesting DIY post.... but i dont think i need something so complex...

i was thinking something along the lines of.....
<a href="http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c223/inchalahda/Car Install/?action=view&amp;current=amprack.jpg&quot; target="_blank"><img src="http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c223/inchalahda/Car Install/amprack.jpg&quot; border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

so u have 1 piece of MDF on the bottom that is fasted onto the spare tire well floor, and then u have 2 pieces of MDF installed into that at about a 30-45 Degree angle, this piece is = to the width of the floor, and at the end, has a support piece that goes straight down and is fasted into the wood again, this would be done twice. you are now left with 2 angled bases for the amps to rest on. I was thinking that i could cut out a few vent holes under where the amps would go for some ventilation, im also thinking that i could make my wires very clean under here.

sorry about the diagram. im on a laptop and my photoshop program needs to be reinstalled.... so paint was my friend and i had to use the synaptic touch device to do it.

so i was thinking it may be easier and just as sturdy if i just put 2 pieces of wood on the sides.... instead of the top.... and just cut those at an angle hmmmmm.

i use as little wood as possible since i'm trying to reduce weight. i use my car for racing and going to work each day. the increased weight does not help me on the tracks nor the gas bill.

if the amps aren't meant to be displayed, simple metal brackets bolted to the floor will work. the angles will also be easier to get with metal.

if they are meant to be displayed, you can still use metal brackets but also create a trim out of mdf or plexi. plexi is nice if it's sanded and then backit with a cheap lighting kit.
you would them trim off the top with a proper mdf or plexi layer that has cut-outs to show the amps. use metal legs or brackets to support this layer for strength.
