FedEx tracking for my amp-

Nov 11, 2008 4:20 AM Arrived at FedEx location LEWISBERRY, PA

Nov 12, 2008 4:49 AM At local FedEx facility PHILADELPHIA, PA
9:05 AM In transit PHILADELPHIA, PA
6:35 PM Departed FedEx location PHILADELPHIA, PA
11:48 PM Arrived at FedEx location LEWISBERRY, PA

Nov 13, 2008 1:22 AM Departed FedEx location LEWISBERRY, PA
4:18 AM At local FedEx facility PITTSTON, PA
4:32 AM On FedEx vehicle for delivery PITTSTON, PA

It should've gone straight from Lewisberry to Pittston, and then out to be delivered. Instead, it took a detour through PHILADELPHIA?! Not only a detour, but they actually sent it BACK to Lewisberry. Apparently since it arrived to Lewisberry a day early, they decided to send it on a road trip to keep the delivery date accurate...

Lets just hope the extra miles on the road haven't harmed anything :(

Everyone knows that their drivers are only allowed to make left turns. We, the comsumers, should plan accordingly.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. I had this happen once on a damaged amp that was being sent back to the seller. It went back and forth from Georgia to Rhode Island 3 times. Took almost a month for FedEx to get the amp back in the sellers hands. It was extremely frustrating. It was because they screwed up and had multiple labels on the box.

Must be some sort of method to the madness. I'm sure your amp will arrive just fine.
Agreed. Of hundreds of packages shipped and received with them over the years, I've only had one bad experience with them, and that was because of some numnuts behind the counter who actually dropped a package I was shipping, right in front of me.

This may be part of the reason that they will be in line asking for a government bailout. You think?

I've seen stuff of mine on a regular basis , maybe 1 out of 8 or 10 shipments ...get shipped to Salinas ( About 30 miles south ) ....then go back up to South San Francisco ( 95 miles north ) ....then to San Pablo ....finally back down to me.

For some reason that Salinas hub once in a while doesnt have a clue ....over the years I should have kept track of the actual days that it happened on...probably corresponds to the day and shift an ex girlfriend works ;)

Well, it finally got here, and the box doesn't look too bad. I'm not going to open it up yet because I had it delivered to work so it wouldn't be sitting on my front porch all day.

But when 5 o'clock hits, it's going to get unpacked and hooked up in a hurry. Unfortunately, I have bowling league tonight, so the serious listening will have to wait until I get home from that.

Always been true with FedEx. UPS will deliver as soon as they can... FedEx delivers the day it's due, or later. Never earlier.

UPS is guilty of the same thing. I have seen this plenty of times with both services.

I love it when they deliver packages to my apartment complex office instead of bringing it to my apartment. I'm at home, recovering from back surgery, and knew a package was supposed to be delivered. I checked tracking on-line the afternoon it was to be delivered and sure enough it was, to the office. Driver never came to my apartment. I had to talk someone in the office into bringing me the box since I couldn't go get it.

That's funny, out here I find that UPS is always on the due date or later, while FedEx will occasionally get here one day early. I guess it has to do with your local hub. Also, I always get my packages sent to my office, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I think they're system is just flawed. Here's what they said it did when it left my hands (around 5pm, since their last drop off is 6pm):

7:06 PM Picked up AUBURN, WA
8:28 PM In FedEx possession BOTHELL, WA Tendered at FedEx location
8:28 PM Package data transmitted to FedEx
8:54 PM Arrived at FedEx location AUBURN, WA
11:24 PM Left FedEx origin facility AUBURN, WA

Auburn is a good 20-30 minutes south of me in Bothell, but somehow the package mystriously arrived in Auburn 1.5 hours prior to me dropping it off in Bothell...then it went back to Auburn
