SDA listening height on spikes ?

Hello there, I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations for the proper listening height.
I have the SDA-SRS IIs and I plan to put them on spikes once we move in to the new house in a few months to decouple them from the floor for better bass.
My prior speakers (Vandersteens) had benefitted from putting them on spikes. However, this changed the listening height and I had to tilt the speakers back to compensate (manufacturer recommended).
Most speakers recommmend around 33" position of the ears in a listening position (or in-line with the tweeters), but I havent read anything about the height for the SDAs and tilting/toe-ing them in seems to be a no-no. Also, the fact that the SDAs fire the multiple tweeters in a linear pattern complicate this somewhat.
Thanks,
Azi
P.S. Why dont I try this for myself right now and test it out ? We are in the midst of selling our townhouse and I am lucky not to have my speakers in the garage I dont think I can push my luck by experimenting with spikes now!

It's nothing to worry about. I mean, do you actually sit at the same height every time? I know I don't. I recommend Mye Sound spikes, www.myesound.com

I agree with Jesse. Quality spikes are quality spikes and should do the job. Just make sure you see how deep/plush the carpet is and get spikes that are accordingly long enough.

I wouldn't tilt back a SRS 2 unless you like to listen standing up. Even then, the soundstage may be at the ceiling."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
