Changed my mind on my search for 7Bs. I am now looking for a near perfect set of 10As or early 10Bs with Peerless. I will pay for the best. Cases must be near perfect. Please don't bother me if they have chips on corners, etc. Who's got 'em? OK to PM me and discuss.

I am located in Northwest Connecticut. I will travel a few hours in any direction if the speakers are worth it.

I have exactly what you are looking for, but I can not part with the 10A's. They are too sweet. I have some 10B's that I will be selling soon. I need to replace the grill cloth before I sell them. They are not perfect, but with the new cloth they will be in "very good" condition. I also have the original stands to go with the 10B's. I have never sold anything on Club Polk, but I am going to offer them here before I put them on craigslist and e-bay. I just need to learn how to sell them here 1st. This is a great site for Polk Fans.

I appreciate your response, but I will be holding out for a set of 10As and I want to find a set that's better than "very good". My present setup has 12Bs so I can be patient. Good luck in the sale of your 10Bs. You won't have any problem selling them on this site. Great people here.

Hi, My brother may be selling his 10As. I think he has the original boxes but I would have to check. His speaker cabinets have been redone in light oak and are beautiful. They have not seen much use.
On another note . You may want to think about just 10s I have both next to each other and my early 10 are more alive and musical then his 10As. The reason is that there are two peerless tweeters. One was used from 1978 to 1981 ish and called a HF1000. It says 751--or 757-- on back and was made in Denmark. Very musical and dynamic but still warm and pretty smooth. The later one 1981 to about 1983 that came in the 10As Looks just like the HF1000 but was made in the USA (says 5514---)and is more laid back and flat. I have compared them repeatedly and in different speakers and the results have been consistant. Just throwing it out there as systems vary as do listener preferences. keith

Hi Keith. Many thanks for your tech update. Denmark vs the US. The learning process never ends. How did your brother redo his speakers in oak over Polk's fake wood surface? If he decides to sell them, I would need clean photos and permission to speak with him in detail about their overall condition, price, etc. Where are the speakers located and you mentioned possible original boxes? Are your 10s for sale? You can PM me with personal info if you feel more comfortable that way. Allen

I saw them but according to the seller, the shipping to me in CT would be $110. He says to double the shipping cost that comes up on his calculator because he is shipping them in 2 boxes. Probably because he is using USPS and not UPS. That's way too high. Thanks for the heads up. I am still looking.

I am bidding on a pair of 10s on eBay right now. Will know if I get them Thanksgiving eve. Thanks for your interest. I missed a chance on the 10As on this site but he is presently negotiating trading them for other equipment.
