I ordered a XPA-3 to run my lsi15's and center with. after hooking up the amp I'm still getting very litte response out of the 8" subs. at 4ohms I should be putting 300wpc to the speakers, shouldnt theses 8's be pounding?

I've run my 15's with 3 different amps at this point, and bass is the one area where I think the 15's are kind of lacking. It's nice clean output, but it's just not particularly strong bass. But they are wonderful speakers overall.

The LSi15 is pretty balanced and should have more than "very little" bass. It is probably more of a placement issue than anything else.

Try swapping the left and right towers and also try different placement around the room if possible.

Definetely a placement issue. Play around with them a bit. I would also take some pics - you'll get a lot more help when people can see room dimensions, characteristics, etc

The problem is my avr wont allow me to run my subs and send a bass signal to my fronts at the same time.:( if I redirect the signal to my fronts I lose my subs.
Is this common? How can I get around this? Different avr?

Set the front signal to full.

I never like what an AVR does to 2 channel sound outside of Pure or Direct on some models I've played with. Stereo modes suck YMMV :)

yeah you should set your fronts to full or large.. and that should increase the bass from them. or do the LSI15's have a volume knob on the rear of them? turn it up if they do.

My AVR lets me have 3 options:
    -BASS OUT FRONT
    -BASS OUT SUB
    -BASS OUT BOTH

I obviously have mine set to BASS OUT BOTH.

I believe on my 25's, I had it set at just sub, unless your using a seperate bass. You won't get the crazy bass out of say a svs, but if you monkey with the volume/Freq. you should get something pleasing. If your still having a prob., just give polk a call and they'll be happy to give you a hand. I had to do this when I first started and had a good conversation with set-up.
