This should be a fun thread for you VW fans out there.

I just picked up a nice 1992 Corrado, and the Infinity system from the early '90's just doesn't cut it for this ride. I'm looking for :

1. Good definition,
2. Clarity without harshness
3. Durability

The current system I have running involves a mini pc with a 7'' touch screen running Windows XP and StreetDeck as the front end app. I use Windows Media Player for the moment to play DVD's, and a wireless keyboard/mouse to input navigation and such. The install would be a simple one, but the speakers that came with the car just ain't cutting it for me. call me crazy. I had some MOMO's in my previous car, liked those a lot, but just want other options.
I also have a budget at the moment given the current economic situation, so i'm not opposed to going with a different brand other than Polk's. (can i say that here?) I know that i'm going with a 10'' DB sub, but other than that, i have been wanting more input from people. I've included some pics. Fire away!

I would recommend the momo's for the speakers but if that is out of you price range i use to have that same amp and had infinity 6 by 9's in the back qnd kicker 6 1/2's in the front it souinded rely good but now that was with my old 99 hatchback i now have a coupe and LOVE my momo's hey if you are getting rid of that amp let me know my have to take it off your hands.

you can use a 3 way comp

i would use that extra space to fit a nice 3 way system

    i like this one

    hsk163.jpg

its the Hi-Energy 3 way from Hertz, model HSK 163

so, put the mid range drivers, on the dashboard and the tweeters and woofers on the door
