I have for sale my Pioneer Elite 79avi DVD/SACD Player/HDMI, this one is in very good shape, looks great & works perfectly. I have the remote, manual, and box. This one gets great reviews picture is very clear with strong vibrant colors. Asking $350.00 shipped to your door, 315.00 for local pick-up.
A member of Pioneer's respected Elite line, the DV-79AVi is a progressive scan unit with an HDMI connection that offers DVD up-conversion to 720p and 1,080i. While most players use at most a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter for the video signal, the DV-79AVi has a 14-bit/108MHz converter. It employs 3:2 pulldown for smooth playback of film images from DVD-Video, as well as progressive and digital noise reduction. There are numerous other playback features, such as a very clear slow-motion mode.
Disc compatibility is what you would expect from a universal player. The DV-79AVi can play DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, DVD-R/RW, SACD, audio CD and CD-R/RW, as well as MP3 and files burned to disc. The system also offers complete bass management and speaker configuration options, features that are normally found on upper-shelf A/V receivers.
There is integrated Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, or you can route surround sound data to an external decoder via the coaxial and optical digital audio outputs. The DV-79AVi also features iLink (IEEE 1394) connectivity to deliver DVD-Audio and SACD signals to a similarly equipped receiver. In addition to the HDMI terminal, the DV-79AVi has component video, S-video and composite video outputs.
