Man, San Francisco is boring!

I wandered around this town for about 2 hours looking for something to do and there is nothing going on except nudie bars.
What happened? This used to be a cool town. Nothing seems to happen after dark anymore. I'm in the heart of town and the streets are empty and I'm sitting in a bar drinking a Fat Tire Amber and the bar is empty.
Anyway, I'm bored out of my skull so if anyone has any suggestions that don't involve daylight, I'd appreciate some suggestions for tomorrow night. I haven't had to spend time here in about 6 years and its different. Nothing I remember is the way it was...except the nudie bars.
Oh and I won't be getting done work until after 6 so if it requires daylight, it aint happenin'.

Because I'm leaving Thursday night and can't wait to get home to the abusiveness that is NJ and the coast the never sleeps. Besides, my girlfriend is there and I miss her.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Especially in SF........lol.....
I was there a few months ago and I hit up the ballpark, drove around the Pier, checked out the bridges (took pictures), went to the Museum of Modern Art (WAY too homo of a thing.....even for me), went through China Town, and basically just roamed.........it doesn't take a lot to entertain me though.....haha.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
Go fishing! Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

It was election night too. so maybe everyone was at home and not at the bars.
SF great city in my book. If you find SF boring, then I can't help you. True it's no NJ that's for sure.
I also think several West coast cities have gone through some changes for the worse in recent year. Seattle is another West coast city that just doesn't have the cool fun factor is did 10 or more year ago.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Go across the Golden Gate bridge to the small community of Sauslito. it's a great view of SF from there.
This whole week in SF is the SF Jazz Festival.. how cool would that be to take in a band somewhere fun? http://www.sfjazz.org/PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Has the place or the person undergone the change?

Did you sprinkle rose petals at The Presidio to celebrate my birth there?

No, things are different here. I spent a good deal of time in this area in the late 90's and early 2000 working on projects at the yards both here and in San Diego. There is a whole different vibe here now. Not nearly as many people hanging around and a bunch of stuff that I remember like bars and restaurants are not here anymore. I'm about 3 blocks off of Columbus and the street used to be lined with bars and hot spots and nothing now. Half the stuff is locked down after 6pm, the other half is closed. The only stuff open is hotel bars and the seedy strip clubs full of Asian girls that look like they are 12 years old.
I'm right up the street from the ballparks but that whole area that is usually jumping any day of the week is dead. I'd take a trip across the bridge but I am without a vehicle to drive and after a certain time of day, it's impossible to get a cab here. I don't know public transportation well enough to brave going to the other side of the bay myself either.
I'd have more to do if I got done work while it was still daylight out but unfortunately, I don't.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Well nonetheless you were judging a city based on an election Tuesday night so that could certainly of had something to do with the lack of city dwellers.
I haven\'t been to that city in almost 15 years but what were some of the bars and restaurants that have been shut down?
