The built in amp on one of my towers has went bad which is a different post alltogether but....I was just listening to some Pink Floyd and thought how good they still sound when it occurred to me...Would it be possible for me to do away with the built in subs in the towers and maybe add another speaker just like the main ones in the lower half of the towers? I will have to pay to have it fixed anyways so why not just add a speaker instead of the powered woofer...I would like for some input as to wether or not you would think that it would work and how it would sound. Thanx!

You could always try it, but the crossover was designed for the drivers it currently feeds. You would have to readjust the crossover and it would change the impedance, sensitivity, etc.
