Several years back, I purchased a Sansui-branded VCR/DVD recorder from Sears. This is an unit that allows for VHS/DVD cross-recordings. I can also plug in an old 8mm camcorder and transfer the 8mm tape to DVD. The results have been excellent and the image quality of the copied DVD actually improved slightly upon whatever is on VHS. The unit cost about $350.00 back then....now they are available for around $220.00.
