CARVER SUNFIRE CINEMA GRAND 200~FIVE 5 CHAN AMPLIFIER. Astound your hearing with deep warm and refined sound! This is an amplifier that needs to be heard as it is easily of reference caliber. For the past 25 years, Bob Carver has been designing some of the world's most renowned amplifiers. Bob continues his legacy with the Cinema Grand 200~five. The Sunfire Cinema Grand 200~five is a theater amplifier that competes with the best two-channel audio amplifiers. The Cinema Grand was designed by Carver to power up multichannel home theater setups. It features 200 watts into 8 ohms per each of its five channels, and 400 watts/channel into four ohms, all continuously driven. And on a time limited basis, it can blast out 800 watts per channel into two ohms. In sum, this black beast puts out anywhere from 1,000 to 4,000 watts! Even more unbelievably, this seemingly bottomless well of power is wrapped up in a cool running, fan-less package. This simple looking brushed aluminum box, with its retro-analog, dimly gold-glowing, "Power Supply Energy" meter (which invariably points to 400 Joules), gives no hint of the tremendous sonic fury it can unleash in an instant.

I used this amp to power my Polk LSI-25's, that are 4 ohm with no problem. The amp does have a couple of small indents which aren't that bad, on the top front left and right, and a few knicks that I didn't do, as I purchased second hand, but has no effect on performance. Mostly used for my HT, and not abused. I take especially good care of my HT equipt. and will miss this beast. Unfortunately when I purchased I didn't get original box or manual, but manual can be found at sunfires site. I had this sold on fleabay but they put a 21 day hold on funds and said to just ship. Yah right, I have 100% feedback and never had this problem(js3149). I took the box to fedx and it is 45lbs. 28x20x13. Price is $850 + shipping. Local buyer would be ideal as you can see how nice this amp is. I am in Huntington Beach, Ca. 92649 I'll get pics to those interested or a little later when I can get at my lap top.

Oops, I just found out that I can't PM here, because I only have a few posts. I usually post on av123's forum and Audioholics, both under the same nick. I'm really interested in your amp, but I have a couple questions. Could we move this to e-mail, please? If you're comfortable with that, please PM me your e-mail addy, and I'll reply from my main account ASAP. I'll check here as well.

    Thanks,
    Chris
