Evanescence, have you heard of them? Their album comes out in March, I think. You can download their songs on the net, but most of their songs have a swish in it, Evanescence themselves put this there so you buy their cd. So if you get a song, and it has this swish or tone crap in it - do not think that is in the song. These recordings are relatively clean, depends what kind of file you get. The lead singer has one el of a vioce, it can show all the flaws in your speaker if you got some crap like bose. Polk does quite well however. Check their stuff out, I told ATC about it and he loved it - its an excellant demo for speakers also, lots of effects, instruments, awesome vocals and more. Just a truly awesome band. Their like a rock/jazz type thing. Hard to explain just a real mix of music, awesome tho. Check em out. www.Evanescence.com
Damn you all, damn you all to hell.......
I promised myself
No more speakers. None. Nada. And then you posted this!!!!

Hey ATC, I burned that bring me to life song on a disc. I found the original version without the lead singer of 12 stones doing the background male vocals. So it has no swishes - and man, this thing SOUNDS AWESOME in 5 channel stereo. Its so seperated, and might I add their music is not compressed at all! Its there and in your face, just how I like it! Everything is all spread out, and it really makes the RTxxxI's, brake a sweat, that girls vioce makes them cry! LOL! But you turn em up and crank the tunes, man ol man, their singing. I tell ya this band is awesome. The instruments and affects are so well mixed. This is just the Mp3 version, this isnt even CD Quality recording here. Its plainly awesome. This girl has one el of a vioce. IMO!

Ohh WOW, do I agree. I thought I was going insane trying to find a version that didn't have than imbedded "swish" sound. I finally found a 320kb version that was unadulterated with that "swish". I recommend them, hell I might even purchase a cd for the first time in years!

Thanks for the heads up Mx. Not bad - a little too Tori Amos for me. The songs with metal riffs is the type of overseas symphony dark metal I have been listening to for a long time but does not even compare to.
I understand the swish thing now.
I manage to get a few downloaded without but non the less was able to hear the WHOLE album and it is very cool!!!!
