I am having a hard time using the search function here.
Where is the "what are you listening too" thread?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
Ben

Too many newbs are told to use the search function. I never say that. I try to help as best I can. I don't know what is wrong with the query function, but it gives lots of dead ends rather than answers.

Why are you linking to https:// as opposed to just http:// ?

Can't search for anything with 3 or less characters either, or with a dash in it. Really limits some fo the model #s and stuff you can search on.
    Can't search for "LSI".
    Can't search for "GDA-600"
    etc

Yeah, the search feature does suck. I'm not sure if it's the vBulletin software or the way it's implemented here. I do visit forums that run thsi software that do have better searches, but that may be a version difference as opposed to how Polk has implemented it here...

It irritates me when too often I hear people tell newbies to use the search function when it rarely works. "the search function is your friend" BS it sucks! I can type "what are you", and it can't find it:confused:

I tried the search function for that particular thread just as Ben had...with the same results ...nada. Then I just used Google, which ALWAYS works....just type in Club Polk and then whatever thread you are looking for all in one line on the google search...even if you misspell or dont quote the thread exactly it still finds it.

It works for active threads as well as banished threads...for banished threads just pick the cached link and it will show you the thread as it was at the moment google took the snapshot.

For this particular thread I just typed

Club Polk what are you listening to

into the google search function and got the link as the third hit down on the search....works MUCH better then using the polk search function

Type in Club Polk shame and see what you get :)

    Second hit down..... http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=24
