I'm thinking about building a SDA-SRS worthy center speaker with similar drivers to my 2.3tls and a crossover with similar components to my soon to be upgraded (thx sonicraft!) crossovers rather than waiting for a cs350 to come up for sale. Any advice would be great and if anyone has done this please let me know. Thx DB

I found some M5jr+s for a song which I am using for the midbass drivers in my DIY SDA center along with a 1098 tweeter. I'm still undecided/unsure of the best crossover design as I will be building this from scratch with matching sonicap/dayton components. The speaker volume will be equal to the volume of the pair of M5jr+s. Any suggestions on the best crossover design would be great.

I can't do it! These cute little m5jr+s are to mint to chop up, I'm going to try and use them side by side as dual centers. I can't believe just one of these sounds better than my Axiom center with these 2.3tl's. I would like to know if it is worthwhile to redo my crossovers but use the m7 components since they share the same active drivers. Any drawbacks to doing this?

From my experience, the 5's sound good as centers for dialogue... Surprisingly.
The 5's w/o the passives are even better, as far as centers go...
    Thanks, Jeff...

Ken @ Polk talked me out of changing the crossovers-just rebuild-replace wire and if I'm not satisfied get better speakers!

I am using a single Monitor 7c on it's side as a center. At some point I want to build a cabinet with the same volume but more of a center channel size and dimension. Thought of putting the PR on the top or bottom maybe firing into a slotted space. I am a total noobie but figure I can learn from this project and I will not harm anything. If it sounds like poo I'll just put the drivers back in the original cabinet.
