So - I was in my friend's dorm the other day and noticed that his roommate had a pair of Polk R15 bookshelves. Although I didn't spend a lot of time listening to them, I was extremely impressed at how good such a small speaker could sound.

Great job Polk!!

Part of the first set of Polks I bought...

I started out with a pair of RT600, then bought the R15 as surrounds and cs200 (I think) center from our very own zingo. Those R15 are the best sounding little speaker I've heard in that budget range.

I've got a set sitting on my desk at work. On the rare occasion that I actually have reason to bump the volume up a little, they have always impressed me.
    Ludicrous gibs!

I think that was the CS250 Cameron. :D I also listened to a pair of R15s the other day, and forgot how impressive they are. I'm glad I upgraded because they are not for my in the 2 channel, but some of the best speakers for the price.

I picked up a pair of R20 bookshelves from Circuit City about 3 years ago for I think 75 bucks new. I hooked them up t an old receiver and was floored by the rich, full sound. Best 75 bucks I ever spent. Theyre paired to a cheep JBL 12" sub now, and the whole set-up will see big time work come this halloween.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?
