One or Deux?

So after Pfest, I really want to get my hands on a DSW MicroPro and since brettw22 did want to just give his away, I'm ready to go out and purchase. Question is how many?

The sub(s) will be for my 2-channel rig in my office which is 10x11. Should I get a single 3000 or dual 2000's?

Any help would be appreciated.

what are your speakers again, I have lost some memory from last week.

    but in a 10 x 11 room, a single should work great
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Keep drinking Russ, you'll get your memory back. Don't give up! The current setup includes a soon to modified pair of LSi9's.

    Here's what you should do...

Buy two of whatever model you want. Then, sell one when two proves to be too much.

Local pickup only, of course ;)
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I would try the LSi9 in that room without a sub first.

Again, ONE of the smaller Micropro subs should be plenty

TWO well you'll be 1K more in debt :), heck use a vendor that has a 30 day return
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps

    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

I have one Micropro 3000 in my 2 channel room (10x13x7). You don't need two. (Though I've been thinking on getting another one just because it would look cool :D)

I ran the MicroPro 2000 with my LSi9's, and it was a great combination. Really filled out the lower octaves. In a small room the 2000 would be plenty, for a larger more open area I would bump up to the 3000.

If you're not going to be doing any HT, I would probably go with the 2000.....down the road add another one. The 2000 plays down to 29hz (perfect for music) and the 3000 plays down to 25hz (not gaining much).

    Both are BA!!

I'm a bit slow at following up on these things but I did get the 2000 back in November for my office rig and love it!

You'll be happy to know Face, the Tone controls are back at 12:00 now.

I noticed the Product review page on Polk's site has a big blank for the 2000 series. I'll have to change that.
