Just one more delay keeping me from the whole house AV project. My wife commandeered the office from me when she started telecommuting for United Healthcare. She a VP of PMgrs/ BA whipping those IT boys into shape. Dealing with HIPPA, Medicare and Medicaid xfer and payments trying to streamline the feds antiquated system.
I believe the room is called a “mother in-law’ room because it is adjacent to the kitchen and HAD a closet and full bath to the right. I’m in the closet now. The original owner of the house had it built that way. The buffet is getting replaced with an armoire from the master that matches the woodwork. Moving from the closet outward with improvements. She will get an L shaped desktop, using the metal legs, drawer unit and lateral file from the mess in the big room, when I finish the “closet cubicle”.
Used ¾” oak veneered plywood for my desktop and oak strips for the light bar. The cluttered shelves are ¾” mdf rag stained and then finger streaked with blk paint for grain effect. All brushed, sanded and shot in several coats of semi gloss lacquer. Put new light fixtures throughout the house including the cubicle. Ran new electric, wall switches and plugs, cat6 for both the routers and phone lines on the shelf above right. She has a separate VPN on her router.
I still have to install a shelf for my printer above right of the line bar. I like not having any wires on the small desktop that I have. Every square inch counts. Anyways someday we might have a finished house.

Did you serve on submarines? Nice utilization of space. Are you gonna get an external DVD/RW, to save your back, or go with a mini desktop?
Good job so far.:rolleyes:I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE! -
Your way over my head. You mean back-up files or the HD?
Edjumicate me.
The Compac midsize desktop (below the desk to the right) Has 2 Pioneer 18x dvd burners in it That I bought and I bought a seperate video card also. No Biggie on the card except more memory. I don't play games because I suck at it.

OOPS! That's light bar not line bar.
BTW Momma get a 19" wall mount LCD and In-walls tied to the patio,kitchen,office-sat rcvr/dvd-cd/pioneer rcvr combo.

The pic of the pc makes it look like you'd have to pull it out sideways, to access the drive(cd/dvd-rom), but if you're not into gaming, and have all the software you need already loaded, then it doesn't matter.
Nice job;-)I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE! -
I can dig it, but I personally wouldnt stick myself in a closet with such limited space, my personal choice of course. Your workmanship looks very good though. I'd set up shop in the living room with a nice corner desk, nice 22 inch screen. Nice MF printer and the like.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!
Home Theater Pics in the Showcase

While you're in the closet, please smack Tom Cruise.
We know he's in there.-Ignorance is strength - -
Actually I have a pull out TV shelf from the armorie for the pc.
Tom Cruise? I F'ed him.
The closet is well lit and, since it is cool enough to be up in the attic now, will have a 4" ac duct installed up by the routers.
I'm not clostrophobic.
Listening to the Cherry flavored RTi8's Saturday. WhoHoo! I think.
Thanks for the compliments!
AV house coming soon. maybe in time for the S Bowl ;^)
