Looking to update the old Luxman amp but $'s are a bit tight so want to get it as right as i can.
There is a local dealer offering new Parasound new classis 2100/2025 pre/pro combo for $1800 australian.(about $800 off) and there is a local private seller with a Bel Canto S300i intergrated for $1500.00 ($2300.00 new)
Has anyone got some feedback on these that can give i hint which is the best way to go?
Have always liked the idea on going seperates but the Bel Canto gear has got some great reviews.
The new amp will be powering my monitor 12's.
Cheers

Thanks Kex.
I wouldn't have usually put a plug in someones thread like this.
But I can honestly say that if the OP is wanting to get into 2 channel separates. This would be a great way. For the price and performance value of the two. I think they would be hard to beat for the money. But thats just my opinion.
Good luck with what ever you do though.;)
Cheers

Sheesh no one bothered to answer his question.
Braddles, Parasound gear is top notch. I had a 1500A that now resides with my brother who enjoys the power it feeds his LSI 7's with authority. You can't go wrong with them.
I have no other experience with Bel Canto gear.
I couldn't find a 2025 amp, they have a 2125 and a 2250 amp.
I would personally get the 2250, that way if you ever step up to harder to drive speakers you will be all set.
Good luck.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -

Good luck.
I don't have any experience with any of the gear he mentioned. So I didn't have a answer for his question.....
But I am glad somebody that did chimed in
Carry on and Good luck.

If I were you I would a get a BAT-VK500. There just happens to be one for sale in the Flea Market at one third its original cost, its in a league two steps above what has been mentioned here. 110-120 volt though.

I have no idea what's available for you down there, but the Flea Market probably isn't going to work for you in Perth

Thanks for the fedback guys.
Cfrizz: sorry mate ,your right, typo from me. Its the 2125 amp. I would love the bigger 2250 too mate but they only had 1 and that when pretty quick.
Good to hear some positive feedback on the Parasound gear. The 2100/2125 got some great reviews here in OZ. Great value for money most said.
I would love to buy some gear from any of you guys as i know you look after your stuff well but with the aussie $ at about 65 us cents at the moment (was 99cents 4 months ago)and the cost of shipping it here i dont think its viable.2 Channel
