trying to figure out what is the best way to go. ht is important but 2ch is my relief from the day. i had a set of rt12 that i loved and regret getting rid of and a set of 11rta tl that i also seriously regret getting rid of:(. if it helps i currently have a cs350ls center and rti28 rears that will fill out the system. any help is appreciated since i wont have a chance to hear these before buying. i left the flock for nht and now yearn to return home. would also love to find either an rt12 or rt16 so i wouldnt have this dilema. thankyou everyone

Welcome to Club Polk. I think you would be best served finding a set of used RTi speakers. Those blue woofers were a good mix for HT, and 2 channel. I too have enjoyed the RTa series owning the 15TL's. They work real well with the CS350. Its a tough call, but its easier to find RTA's than others. The RTA's are better 2 channel IMHO. Watch Craig's list, and hopefully you can score on the cheap.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I was really impressed with RTA 8Ts that came through here last year. For a small floorstander, they had surprisingly deep and punchy bass. They timbre match stock SDA 1Cs, as do the 11s and 15s. I like the RTis, but the RTAs are something else, much smoother through the mids and not as nasal at the top. RTA would be my pick.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

I'll vote for the RTA series, just a better "all around" speaker,IMHO.
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)
