Has anyone here owned or has listened to this player?

Thanks, one for sale locally.....have read good things about it, just havent heard it yet......

    It shouldn't be a bad player. I have a DV-6900 and it's not too far behind my SA-8001 which gets rave reviews.

    I recently bought the DV-9600, and if the DV-8400 is anything like it, you should be very happy. It's a solid built player, and the disc tray is so smooth when opening and closing. I mention this because all the others I have tried seemed so cheap. Great sound and picture. I watched Iron Man on my 92" FP with 1080i upconverted, awesome picture. And if you want to get into DVD-A and SACD, you will not be dissapointed. If you can swing a little more $ the DV-9600's used are selling at a good price.

    Damn, I'm a Polkazoid now. Only took 6 years.
